Planning a Field Trip to the Sanctuary?

We’re excited to help you create a meaningful, educational, and unforgettable experience for your students. Our field trips offer an engaging, hands-on learning adventure focused on animals, agriculture, conservation, and compassion — all while providing in-depth, age-appropriate educational content.

Whether you’re bringing a full class or a small group of animal lovers, here’s everything you need to know to plan your visit.

Field Trip Season
Our field trips run from October through May, so be sure to book well in advance. Spots fill quickly during this popular season!

Student Admission Pricing
Our pricing is based on group size

$15 per student for groups of 30 or more
$18 per student for groups of 20 to 29 students

Groups with fewer than 20 students fall under our large group guided tour pricing. Please contact us for details.

What to Expect During Your Visit
Your field trip will include a comprehensive, guided tour led by one of our experienced educators. This is not just a walk-through, it’s an in-depth educational experience designed to connect students with the animals in a meaningful way.

During the tour, students will

Learn detailed information about each animal’s breed, species, and unique traits
Explore species-specific facts, such as natural habitats, behaviors, diets, and conservation status
Hear the rescue stories of animals who now live at the sanctuary
Understand the roles these animals play in agriculture, ecosystems, and education
Participate in interactive discussions about animal care, responsible ownership, and environmental responsibility
Ask questions, observe behaviors, and engage with their surroundings in a safe, supervised setting

We tailor the tour to suit your students’ grade level and areas of focus, ensuring a personalized and enriching experience.

Tour Duration
Tours typically last 2 to 4 hours, depending on your group size and any optional activities added.

Facilities
We have bus parking available on-site for easy and convenient drop-off and pick-up. Additionally, restroom facilities are accessible for your group’s use throughout the visit.

Lunch Options
Groups are welcome to bring lunch. We have limited outdoor seating, so please let us know in advance if your group will be staying to eat.

Optional Animal Encounter Add-On

Meet and Feed Lilly, our African Crested Porcupine
Learn about the biology and behavior of this fascinating species while feeding her one of her favorite treats.

This activity includes educational context and fun facts about Lilly’s species, her natural role in the environment, and the story of her life before coming to the sanctuary.

Lilly is a permanent, well-socialized resident who was rescued and rehabilitated. 100% of the proceeds from this activity go directly to her care.
